After the long Eid Al Adha weekend, it's time to wake up to a new and beautiful day and head back to work. Don't you just love it? The thrill of rushing to get to the Dubai Metro, wait for your bus to come along and then take a seat at the desk that you might have been hugely missing after the past couple of days. Wait - that's not really it, right? You must be wondering right now 'where did my Eid holidays go' or, 'It's Sunday ALREADY!'
Yes, it's officially Sunday in the UAE and many of us might be going through a stream of emotions. What are those emotions and feelings Here are five:

Bewilderment

Arguably, this is one of the first in the series of emotions many of us experience after a magical, long weekend. After the road trips, the staycations, or the short flights, we wake up the next day and wonder where all those days vanished. It takes time for the bewilderment to subside.

Wistfulness

After the prelude that was bewilderment, you begin to recall where exactly did you spend your Eid holidays. It's quite mathematical to some - A roadtrip last Thursday, went to the mall on Friday, stayed at home on Saturday. There's just no hiding from the fact that time flies in the UAE.

Exhaustion

After days of going out, you feel absolutely tired as you try and pull yourself out of the bed. It's comfy, it's relaxing - it's also stopping you from getting to work and compelling you to sleep longer. Then your alarm clock buzzes adding insult to injury. Time to be on your toes.

Acceptance

It's the inevitable, you're already dressed for work. You have your lunch ready and back to join the crazy daily life many of us share in common. You sit in the same desk you haven't seen for a couple of days, shoot emails as your mind remembers the sweet, sweet Eid holidays. Then, there's a flicker of smile on your lips, because reality stares at you and you can't do much except greeting it.

Excitement

An idea strikes you 'When is the next long weekend in the UAE?' Thus begins the frantic search for a complete list of UAE holidays this year. You might even go ahead and make vacay plans already. And when the holidays do come, you enjoy it to your heart's content and then leave the bed to head to office feeling emotion #1.
