Promotional messages can be a pain. Every day your cellphones beep multiple times just to flash the promotional offer from your telecom service provider or the store you shopped at or the spa you visited last month.
Once you share your number with a store after shopping, you are automatically added to their SMS list and you will be alerted about their latest offers.
And most of the times these messages are unwanted and serve you no good.
Have you always wanted to block the message and didn't know how? Read our guide -

1. Etisalat

If you don't want to receive any messages from your service provider Etisalat regarding plans and offer of the day, go ahead and send the message 'b Etisalat' to 7726.
You will, in turn, receive the below message from Etisalat acknowledging that you have been added to the block list or "Dear customer, you are already subscribed to the service."

2. Du

It is normal for service providers to send messages to their customer base regarding the promotional offers. Du allows their users to opt-out of the promotional message by simply sending a blank SMS to 5293.
And, if want to get rid of third party messages like financial institutions, retailers, and stores, you can call on toll-free service. You can also send 'B Sender ID' or 'B short code (number of the sender)' to 7726.
The network provider has shared this information on their official website.

3. It's raining offers

Removing yourself from the list of a retail store, fitness gym, hypermarkets is not difficult. Read till the end and all these messages have an opt-out option that you can check.
For example, if the SMS reads 'OPTOUT 4289', just go ahead and message OPTOUT and send it to 4289.
