Emaar Development’s sales backlog has increased to Dh65.7 billion
Major Marwan Hareb Al Shamsi, director of the Ajman civic of defense centre, said that the operation room received a call on Tuesday evening informing them about the raging blaze. The firefighters were immediately dispatched to the villa, which was on flames with black smoke billowing. The firefighters evacuated the house before dousing the fire.
The fire caused mild injuries to the father and daughter, who were rushed to the hospital. It also engulfed the rooms of the villa and gutted the furniture. The fire even spread to the yard of the villa, as a result of which the electrical transmitters and the glass windows were damaged. The house was cordoned off to ensure the fire did not spread to the neighbouring villas.
After extinguishing the fire, the villa was handed over to the forensics laboratory of Ajman Police to ascertain the reason behind the blaze.
With summer heat mounting, Ajman civil defense is urging families to take precautionary measures at home and to strictly adhere to safety rules while ensuring their house is equipped with fire extinguishers. They should immediately contact 997 in case any emergency.
