Women get their own PINK parking spaces in Abu Dhabi

The Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport (DMAT) announced the dedication of 182 parking bays for ladies in multi-storey buildings. The parking bays are assorted with signage and pink sidewalk in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. DMAT has decided to assign these parking to ladies only as to maintain the woman's privacy and assisting her on the search for parking.
DMAT stated that these parking bays are distributed among different areas as follows: 26 bays behind Liwa Center, 18 bays in Corniche area, 28 bays behind Zakher Hotel, 18 bays behind Health Authority, 26 bays on Liwa Street, 25 bays behind Al Noor Hospital and 41 bays in Al Dana area behind Abu Dhabi Tawteen Council.
DMAT has also announced that the number of these bays will be increased along with their capacities once other projects are completed in the future. Multi-storey buildings are considered one of the best solutions that help in solving parking issues as the development of services, health, and security requirements are considered while designing them.
To that regards, Mawaqif inspectors will be responsible for assuring that the vehicles are parked legally in the pink parking and take the suitable action if men used them. Men who violate this regulation will be fined for illegal parking and the vehicle will be towed.
Parking bays on multi-storey buildings in Abu Dhabi offer variety of services in which contribute in the public safety and comfort. It has also some techniques that facilitate stopping the vehicles as vacant bays have green lights while red lights indicate busy ones.
In addition, there has been some bays that are dedicated for people with special needs next to the entrances of the buildings to assist in their movements. Moreover, environmental-friendly techniques are used as well in order to decrease the electricity usage.
