Tap & Say
There are many out there, but we feel Tap & Say is certainly the easiest to use translation and phrase device. Solely conversational, the app presents a choice of words, phrases and numbers and their European and Asian language equivalents. It'll speak them out to you once you press on them and get the pronunciation right or, if worst comes to worst, hold it up to the person you with whom you're trying to
communicate.
XE Currency
The days of spending your entire holiday not knowing how much things really cost are over with the XE Currency app. Updated with the latest exchange rates every minute of the day, we challenge you to find a major currency the app won't convert
for you.
Tripit
Become your own travel agent with Tripit. Whilst the Internet revolution has been amazing for taking control of your holiday plans, one of the most frustrating parts is trying to keep track of all the confirmations for your flight, hotel and car rental and check-in times thereon. With Tripit, you email all your verification correspondence,  they collate it and create a simple itinerary with all your times, confirmation codes and prices on one
 screen.
Citymapper
Heading to one of the world's major cities? Citymapper contains all the internal travel data you're going to need. Real-time updates of train, ferry, bus and tram departures and arrivals; delay/ blockage warnings and better route planners than Google Maps - you'll never lose a minute of vacation time to tailbacks (unless you're in Bangkok where they are unavoidable).
