Baby Leopold was recently diagnosed with a rare disorder that affected his skin and left him with impaired vision.
Individuals affected by Oculocutaneous Albinism (OCA), according to Genetics Home Reference, have very fair skin and white or light-coloured hair. The rare genetic disorder also reduces pigmentation of the coloured part of the eye (the iris) and the light-sensitive tissue at the back of the eye (the retina).

Leopold's parents posted a 30-second video to YouTube, capturing the moments their son was able to see them, and the world clearly for the very first time.
His mom can be heard saying, "Hi honey," to which the little boy looks his mother in the eyes and smiles.
Leo's dad David, 39, who took the video said 'cuteness went through the roof' when his son smiled for the first time. He told Daily Mail adding that there 'wasn't a dry eye in the house'.

David Leopold added,

"I had some issues holding the camera because I was crying so much. I was overwhelmed with emotion. It's just very touching.
You cannot anticipate how you're going to feel when something like that happens. It was very heartwarming. Leo looked at my wife for the first time and saw her for the first time."
The family lives in Seattle, Washington.

The video clip that has been watched over 1.5million times has had several viewers go 'awww'.
Some of them commented, "Man I can't stop crying! This is timeless!", "that baby's too cute made my day thank you God Bless", "This is such a beautiful and happy moment! Thank you for sharing this with the world. I'm sure it will touch a lot of souls."
