Thousands of fans queued up at Vox cinema at Deira City Center to catch a glimpse of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and actress Anushka Sharma, who were in the city to promote their upcoming film Jab Harry Met Sejal.

Some fans waited even before the mall opened to see their favourite hero. Shah Rukh thanked everyone and tried his best to meet as many aficionados as he could on the red carpet. The 'Badshah of Bollywood' requested all those present to stay hydrated because the weather in the city is really hot.

Jab Harry Met Sejal takes place mostly in Europe. When asked about his travel experience, he said, "I am not much of a traveller. For me travelling is living in the five-star hotel that they put me in. I am very un-exciting like that."

"Imtiaz had a cosy and warm way of making this film that's why this film is very special to me. We used to work in the day and hang out together in the evening. I have become a nicer person. I am liking Anushka even more than before if that is even possible."

Anushka spoke about the joy of travelling solo. "I actually often like to put myself in an uncomfortable position. That's why I like travelling alone. Travelling alone does something to you. Through the journey of the film, the characters recognize each other's emptiness and discover themselves and love as well."

Jab Harry Met Sejal releases in the UAE 6pm onwards on Thursday.

'Show her my house in Dubai'

"Dubai is my city, I told Anushka she can sleep during the day in Dubai so I can take her out to Dubai at night. I have a lovely house in the Palms. I would like to take her there. I want to take her to Music Hall for a night out, for food - Nobu of course. I would like to take her to desert safari also for sand dunes. The sad part is that she sleeps early by 8pm."
