Twelve service supervisors were elevated to the rank of marketing managers, branch managers and service leaders while 11 Emirati service officers were promoted to the position of service supervisors.
Speaking on the occasion, Abdel Kareem Alkayed, UAE Exchange Country Head for the UAE, said: "The recognition reiterates our commitment towards equitable career growth opportunities and sustainable employment for UAE Nationals in the financial sector. The periodic trainings conducted by our Emiratisation team too have helped each Emirati in equipping themselves with new skills needed for their day-to-day job, professional development and success. I congratulate all the promoted Emirati staff for their hard work, dedication, superior customer service and being a role model for others."
"The career progression plan for Emiratis employed across all branches of UAE Exchange is divided into two phases. The development phase helps in acquiring requisite skill sets for career ascension while the assessment phase examines the candidate both qualitatively and quantitatively. This ensures that the staff is well-trained and is able to make a positive difference to themselves, the organisation, the country and the larger community," said Sayad Saeed Khameis Al Zaabi, one of the recently promoted Emirati staff.
Special programmes that focus on the development of attitude, skill and knowledge to perform the roles of service supervisor or branch manager too are conducted by the brand. For Emirati students, a four-week internship and training programme -- Taleem -- is offered that provides them with corporate experience and stipend.
"Being part of recruitment fairs like Careers UAE last month also provided us a vibrant platform to attract and recruit the best talent on-site. It is also in line with our strategic plans of strengthening the Emirati workforce in the organisation," added Abdel Kareem.
Earlier this year, UAE Exchange was feted by the UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation for its commitment and contribution to the success of government accelerators programmes in the financial sectors. The brand had identified and recruited talented UAE Nationals across its various operations in the seven emirates of the UAE.
