The demand for plastic surgery is increasing significantly in Dubai and other parts of the Gulf region, according to an industry specialist.
That's the reason the number of plastic surgeons per capita in Dubai is among the highest in the world, according to industry estimates. The Dubai Health Authority is aiming to attract about half a million medical tourists per year by 2020, which could benefit its economy by up to Dh2.6 billion.
"Cocoona Centre for Aesthetic Transformation has launched its second branch in Dubai amidst surging trends in the demand for plastic surgery," said Dr Sanjay Parashar, chief executive and consultant plastic surgeon at Cocoona Centre.
Founded in 2009, Cocoona is an all-in one centre for aesthetic transformation. The centre specialises in plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery, hair transplant, dental, orthopedic, medspa treatments, weight loss and dietary services.
Encouraged by the success of its main centre on Al Wasl Road, Cocoona Centre has launched its new branch at Jumeirah Lake Towers. The new centre is Cocoona's second in Dubai and reflects the growing popularity of its aesthetic treatments.
To coincide with the launch, Cocoona also announced a special XpressTox service for VIP customers.
"I think we have achieved and successfully demonstrated that with our centre on Al Wasl Road. It's time now to take the concept closer to customers. Our new branch will effectively cater to the growing aesthetic healthcare needs of residents in the new Dubai area, within the JLT neighbourhood as also the villa communities in Jumeirah Village Triangle and adjacent areas," Dr Parashar said.
