Mohammad Isha who works for a company that fills currency notes in ATMs has been arrested in Pratapgarh in UP after a ATM dispensed fake Rs 2000 notes. Instead of the Reserve Bank of India these notes were from The Children Bank of India. The notes didn't have a serial number. There was no rupee symbol and instead of the RBI seal, there was a PK logo. The RBI Governor's signature was missing on the notes. The text on the note said "I promise to pay the bearer two thousands coupens."  Both the police and the SBI are investigating the matter.
According to the Hindustan Times, four notes with several errors were dispensed by the ATM. Rohit, a call centre employee, received these four notes when he withdrew Rs 8000 from the ATM. He informed the police.
The charges that have been filed against Isha include manufacturing documents resembling currency notes, using forged or counterfeit notes and of cheating.
