Asian gang arrested in Sharjah for theft of 'fancy' cars

Sharjah - Sharjah police formed a team of CID officers to investigate the crime and locate the culprits.

Sharjah Police yesterday arrested a gang comprising six Asians who were involved in a number of cart thefts in Sharjah and other emirates. Sharjah Police has recently received a number of complaints at various police stations about the theft of cars. The gang members only targeted  four-wheel-drive vehicles parked in various areas.
Sharjah police formed a team of CID officers to investigate the crime and locate the culprits.
During the search and investigation process, police managed to identify one suspect who confessed that he, with his accomplices, was involved in a number of cars thefts in Sharjah. The suspect told the police the location of his five accomplices. They were arrested on the same day. All suspects confessed.
The police urged the owners of the cars to park their cars in safe areas to avoid theft.
