Monday saw heavy rain in parts of UAE. From Dubai to Umm Al Quwain, Sharjah, Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah, it rained across the country.
Khaleej Times reported about strong winds, followed by showers in Dubai. We reported about rain over Sheikh Zayed road, Al Qudra, Marina and other areas.

A chance of convective clouds may be associated with rainfall and fresh winds causing blowing dust/sand and poor visibility till 9 pm today, the weather department said. The National Centre for Metrology also posted videos about heavy rain across the emirates. You have to watch the video to believe the amount of rainfall, the country has received, on this January day.

National Centre of Meteorology(NCM) has predicted cloudy weather with further decrease in temperature today. Rainfall is likely to continue till Wednesday.
"The amount of clouds will increase over scattered areas of the country, associated some convective clouds with rainfall of different intensity," NCM stated. Moderate to fresh winds will blow inland and may cause blowing dust over some exposed areas.
"The relative humidity is likely to increase by night and early morning over some internal areas." The sea will be rough to very rough at times in the Arabian Gulf, and rough in Oman Sea.
