The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has completed the training of 15 specialists and officials who will lead the developmental drive to transform the medical health system of Dubai in the upcoming phase.
The latest developments the authority is currently witnessing are a part of its 2016-2021 strategy, which will be implemented by the DHA's 96 teams of officials and specialists.
Humaid Mohammed Obaid Al Qattami, Chairman of the Board and Director-General of the DHA, recently chaired a meeting with the members of the council and executive managers of hospitals and sectors.
Those at the meeting collectively reaffirmed the importance of an annual platform where specialists from the UAE and abroad are invited to discuss various ways in which the DHA can build an international medical system, learn from international successful experiences and discuss future challenges.
During the meeting, the latest achievements scored as part of the efforts to meet the strategy's goals were shared. These included instilling a culture of change among the authority's cadres and creating an office of organisational transformation. The achievements also include introductory meetings with the leaders of the programme, where the new strategy's goals and tasks were explained and a plan was put in place about ways to implement the new initiatives.
Al Qattami said the authority focuses on growing a sustainable health system in response to the future needs of society for high-class medical service and on providing smart services to all customers. Ensuring customer satisfaction and happiness is among DHA's goals.
He said the strategy does not depend only on the members of the authority but also its strategic partners who can contribute towards the development work to achieve the vision and goals of a happier and healthier environment.
Al Qattami called on all concerned individuals to exert more effort in the next phase as it will witness a number of important changes in addition to developing its medical facilities and equipping hospitals and centres with smart technology and experienced cadres. - Wam
