Curated by Fahad Ali, the paintings cover the work of Nazar Haidri and Irfan Mirza. The exhibition also marked the launch of the Arts & Photography Club of the PAD.

Nazar Haidri’s work focuses on ‘Music Painting in Cubism’ whereas Irfan Mirza, a US-educated graphic artist, combines creativity with modern trends in design.

Prime Minister’s Special Envoy Ambassador Javed Malik, who inaugurated the exhibition, said: “This exhibition is a first in the line-up of events which will focus on the creative and artistic talent of Pakistanis settled abroad.”

Dr Feisal Ikram, general secretary of the PAD, said, “The association has a goal to represent and promote Pakistanis across all platforms and all paradigms.

“This exhibition is first in line for us to walk down that path of exploring newer avenues of promotion and communication.”

Speaking about the artists, Fahad Ali, curator of the exhibition and in charge of the Arts & Photography Club, said, “This exhibition is a call out to all Pakistanis living here in the UAE to come forward and work with us to promote Pakistan’s rich culture and artistic talent. We want more artists and photographers from the community to step forward and help support us.”

The exhibition will run until today.

Proceeds of the paintings will go to the ongoing PAD community projects.
