Shaikha Lubna seeks education for all children

Shaikha Lubna Al Qasimi, Minister of International Cooperation and Development has called for 'equal education opportunity' for children from developing and poor countries at a meeting of the International Committee of Financing for Global Education, which was held on Friday in London.
She was inducted as a member of the committee in honour of the UAE's leadership in foreign assistance at the meeting.
The meeting was also attended by Erna Solberg, Prime Minister of Norway; Michelle Bachelet, President of Republic of Chile; Joko Widodo, President of Indonesia; and Peter Mutharika, Malawi President.
The committee discussed the mechanisms to create educational opportunities for the poor and needy as well as the millions of children who drop out of school annually around the world. It also discussed the educational needs of refugees and displaced persons, and developsed scenarios to help catalyse education efforts to further promote economic growth and stability.
