Man held in Dubai for rape, stealing from victim

Dubai - A 33-year-old Russian woman on visit visa said the man dragged her to a corner and raped her, stole her money and phone

The Dubai Police have arrested an Asian man for raping a woman recently.
The Dubai Police received information about a rape which took place in the Jumeirah. A 33-year-old Russian woman, on visit visa, told the police that while she was coming out of a bar at around 2am, a man dragged her to a corner and raped her, stole her money and phone.
Surveillance cameras showed the woman coming out of the bar and a man following her. The police soon arrested the suspect who denied that he had raped the woman and had stolen her money and phone.
The woman who was living in Al Barsha identified the suspect when she was called by the police after his arrest.
