Five-member gang of burglars busted in Sharjah

Sharjah - Police said that the gang members resisted the arrest and one of them had a knife.

The Sharjah Police on Friday arrested a Pakistani gang for alleged thefts and burglaries in commercial outlets in Sharjah.
The gang comprising five Pakistanis carried out thefts in many shops and outlets in various areas in Sharjah.
Police said that the gang members resisted the arrest and one of them had a knife, but police managed to arrest him.
A CID official said that they received a number of complaints at various police stations in the city that some thieves had broken into their shops and stole cash, goods and various valuable items.
The police launched an investigation which resulted in identifying the suspects through surveillance cameras. Police managed to locate their apartment and arrested them all.
All the suspects had been referred to public prosecution.
