Minor fire breaks out in Ajman City Centre

Hundreds of shoppers were evacuated in light of a minor fire scare at Ajman City Center this afternoon. No injuries were reported. 
Lt Mohammed Al Mohairi, spokesperson for Ajman Civil defense, said that security guards had reported a fire at Ajman City Centre. 
Ajman Civil Defence dispatched firefighters to the city centre. Security officers helped evacuate shoppers and shopkeepers.
Firefighters controlled the blaze in minutes. 
After securing the area, shoppers and shopkeepers returned to the centre. 
According to Al Mohairi, the fire had flared due to an electric short-circuit. 
The site was handed over to police.
