The 22-time Grand Slam champion is likely to retire after the 2024 season
According to the Reputation Institute's 2018 ranking of the world's most reputable countries, the UAE was ranked 36th with 55.9 points, outperforming countries such as Qatar, Turkey, China, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iran and Iraq among the list of 55 nations.
The Emirates was rated 27th in 2017's ranking with 72.4 points, a drop of nine positions. But it saw a jump of 10 places from 2016's ranking of 46.
In order to improve reputation, the report suggested that the countries should foster an appealing environment, a 'feel good' factor and develop a consistent country narrative.
Globally, Sweden dethroned Canada from the top position followed by Finland, Switzerland, Norway, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Japan, Denmark and Netherlands rounding off the top 10 list.
Nicolas Georges Trad, executive partner at the Reputation Institute, said while economic stability is important, only 20 per cent of the world's top 10 economies are in the top 10 most reputable countries. In terms of GDP growth, leading economies all saw a positive trend in 2017; however, the majority saw a decline in reputation.
The Reputation Institute's Country RepTrak surveyed more than 58,000 individuals and 55 largest countries by GDP during March and April 2018. The key consideration for reputation include people's friendliness, safe place, beautiful country, appealing lifestyle, enjoyable country, ethical country and responsible participants of the global community.
