Britain said on Wednesday it was concerned the Russian airliner that crashed last Saturday in Sinai may have been brought down by a bomb, prompting it to temporarily suspend flights from Egypt's Red Sea resort of Sharm El Sheikh.
"While the investigation is still ongoing we cannot say categorically why the Russian jet crashed. But as more information has come to light, we have become concerned that the plane may well have been brought down by an explosive device," the office of Prime Minister David Cameron said.
An Egyptian source close to the black box investigation also said "the cause of the crash looks more like an explosion but it not clear whether it was linked to fuel or a bomb". - Agencies
