Fog forces cancellation of Emirates flights, delays

Dubai - Emirates has urged passengers to check their flight status before going to the airport.

Passengers, who are arriving and departing from Dubai today, check your flight status.
Thick fog has disrupted several flights at Dubai International Airport. Dubai-based Emirates has cancelled numerous flights, and many others have got delayed, the airline said in a statement.  
An Emirates spokesperson said, "Severe fog in Dubai on December 3, 2016 has caused the cancellation and delay of numerous Emirates flights arriving and departing at Dubai International Airport."
Emirates has urged passengers to check their flight status here for the latest information regarding their flights.
"Emirates apologises for the inconvenience caused. The safety of our passengers and crew is of utmost importance and will not be compromised," the spokesperson said.
The NCMS has already advised of poor visibility less than 100m over roads between Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah along with locations such as Liwa. Here is a full list of locations with fog warnings.

No traffic accidents have been reported so far but motorists are advised to take caution while driving.
