Gucci Wins International Designer of the year

The British Fashion Council has announced that the 2015 International Designer Award will be awarded to Gucci's Alessandra Michele.

You knew 2015 was going to be a year of change when in January, Gucci announced that after a decade Frida Giannini would be stepping down as creative director, and Alessandro Michele would be its new designer. He has been at the helm for over six months, and made it known there was a new era at Gucci by changing the venue for his Spring/Summer 2016 show held just last week. 
Michele ha worked with Gucci since 2002, but the world only saw his talent earlier this year when he was appointed creative director. This show confirmed that Gucci is one again setting the fashion agenda. Gucci is the world's second largest luxury good company.
