Stepmother murders 6-year-old daughter

Saudi Arabia - The woman has been arrested and referred to the Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution.

A 6-year-old girl whose body was found dumped near her school in Al-Ahsa'a has been found to have been murdered by her stepmother.
The body of the victim, Reem Al-Rashidi, was spotted by a citizen with her throat slit. The investigations that followed revealed that she had been killed by the accused Saudi woman.
According to Arabic newpaper Almarsd, the father of the victim lives with his three wives in the same house.
In order to commit the crime, the stepmother of the girl picked her up from her school and pretended to take her home. Reem was a grade 1 student at Al-Mebraz Primary School.
After killing her, the accused dumped the body in an open land in the district of Al-Mahasen.
The woman has been arrested and referred to the Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution.
An inquiry has also been ordered by Al-Ahsa'a Education Directorate into the incident.
