Dubai - No one injured in the fire; traffic back to normal on Jumeirah St.

Dubai Civil Defence put out a fire that broke out in a construction site in Jumeirah on Sunday.

Civil Defence was alerted about the fire around 5.25pm, after which fire engines arrived at the site around 5.30pm and quickly controlled the blaze, ensuring it did not spread to adjacent buildings.
According to initial details, the fire erupted in the basement of an under construction mall.

No one was injured in the fire, Dubai Media Office confirmed.

Major General Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi, Director General, Dubai Civil Defence, was at the site to personally oversee the operations.
Civil Defence posted this video of Al Matrooshi to announce the end of the operation:

Firefighting teams from four stations participated in the operation, including Shuhda Al Emarat, Ittihad, Port Saeed and Rashidya, Major Hussain AlRahomi, Director of Al Qouz station said.
Jumeirah St. was opened after the operation, while Al Uroba St. had been closed.
The cooling operation was underway at the time of filing this report.
