UAE residents have another scam message to watch out for.
The Sharjah Police issued a notification to residents to ignore messages from scammers, who pose as bank employees and ask for information.
The warning on Instagram stresses that no personal information, including details of your bank account, debit card numbers must be shared with any anonymous bank employees.

Fujairah Police issued a warning on their social media handle for all mobile phone users.
The message which seems to be making the rounds reads: "Dear Customer! Your ATM card will be blocked because you have not got it updated yet in the new year 2019.
"If you want your ATM card to work properly, then contact the following numbers: 0589065238, or 0522633476."
The message is apparently being sent through WhatsApp.
Be advised against all scammers on mobile phones.
