GarageBand, Apple's digital audio workstation that helps users easily create music on iOS and macOS devices, is turning 15 tomorrow.
First introduced at Macworld 2004 by the late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs and American musician John Mayer, the app, according to Apple, has grown to become the most widely-used music app in the world, in use in more than one billion iPhones, iPads and Macs worldwide.
The democratisation of music was the bigger goal of Apple when it created GarageBand: it was meant to help not only professional music enthusiasts, but also amateur and novices alike.
GarageBand has all the tools you need to make you a music expert - in your own right
Not only that, it has also made its way into education: educators all over the world are now also using GarageBand in classrooms to help young people make music for the first time.
