TGI Fridays honoured

Dubai: TGI Fridays Middle East continues to dominate the casual dining scene across the restaurant industry regionally, ever since the first store was opened way back in 1996. In view of its ongoing success, the brand, under the umbrella of Kuwait Food Company — Americana, was recently bestowed upon two major awards being “2014 International Franchise Group of the Year” and “2014 International Franchise Developer of the Year” at a Global Conference held in Dallas, Texas, USA, by the International Franchisor on March 19.

Award 1 — 2014 InternationalFranchise Group of the Year — people, product, place and promotion were Americana’s key focus areas in 2014, and they delivered excellence in all four areas. In addition to investing in leadership development by sending their general managers to attend Fridays Brand Immersion in the USA, all Americana restaurants were EYS Validated.

Award 2 — 2014 International Franchise Developer of the Year — Their passion for Fridays and commitment to development and success continues to propel Americana forward. Having surpassed 50 restaurant openings in early 2014, they set their sights on opening another seven in 2014 and achieved their goal. And on top of that, Americana completed four additional restaurant re-mages, which accomplished their 2010 Development Agreement.
