The Pools by Design team, represented by David Russell and Wayne Connor, finished runners-up on 41 points, one ahead of the Triple Crown Shipping team (Ishwar Jodha and A. Ahuja).

Viren Varma won the nearest to the pin prize on hole six along with Vinay Mehra (hole 8), Ashok Kumar (13) and Gurjit Grewal (17) while the longest drive prizes went to Kabir (9) and Janish Khurana (12).

David Freeborn of Chivas presented the prizes along with IGC managing committee members Devanand Kurup and Farad Lakhadwala.

Freeborn lauded a sense of camaraderie among the IGS members, saying: “We are delighted to be part of an event which has grown in popularity and stature over the years. We have had a very successful relationship with IGS and we hope to further build on that as move forward.”

IGS thanked members of the society for their overwhelming response to the tournament. “The competition was pretty intense, reflecting on the rising standards of the game among the members. This year we introduced many new prizes and that added to the fun.

“We are grateful to Chivas for their continued support to our society,” said Devanand, who also commended co-sponsors AGMC, Kohinoor Rice, Bank of Baroda and Rus Aviation for their contribution in making the event a great success.
