Royal Jet to build integrated facilities at Al Bateen airport

The land allocated by Abu Dhabi Airports will be home to Royal Jet’s hangar — that can accommodate any aircraft in its fleet; state of the art maintenance facilities; Medevac and its administration headquarters.

Part of its first phase, Royal Jet will build a 4,500 square metres hangar in addition to a 5,000 square metres facility to include administration, workshops, spares storage and a training centre, all custom designed to cater for the private carrier’s future growth.

Falcon to support Embraer executive jets ABU DHABI — Falcon Aviation Services officially opens its newly constructed 106,000 square foot authorised Embraer Service Centre at Bateen Executive Airport in Abu Dhabi, making it one of the largest Executive MRO’s in the Middle East. Falcon Aviation Services were first appointed as an Embraer Authorised Executive Service Centre in 2009, providing line maintenance support for the Legacy 600 and the first service centre in the Middle East to support the Linage 1000 in 2009. “Over the last three years we have steadily increased our Base Maintenance capabilities from a P1 & L1 (6 month inspection) up to and including an L8 & P8 (48 month inspection), whilst providing a 24/7 AOG hotline to support our customers and Embraer. This move to a new facility, along with the UAE’s overall aviation strategy, is in line with Abu Dhabi’s 2030 Vision. Additionally, it complements our FBO facility at Abu Dhabi International Airport, customer demand and industry needs, the chief executive said.

Royal Jet, which had another great financial year in 2013 after seven consecutive years of healthy profits, is exhibiting at the region’s foremost general aviation airshow, Abu Dhabi Air Expo, for the third consecutive year.
