‘Made in Sharjah’ exhibition to help boost local industries

the slowdown.

Shaikh Sultan was speaking while opening the ‘Made in Sharjah’ exhibition which is being held by Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) in collaboration with the Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD), the Ministry of Economy and Emirates Authority for Standardisation & Metrology (ESMA) at Expo Centre Sharjah.

Shaikh Sultan toured various stands to acquaint himself with diverse packages of products and services on display. The ‘Made in Sharjah’ exhibition, which draws about 100 local exhibitors and last until November 25, provides an integrated platform for local businesses and industrial companies that cater to clients from various regional and international markets, particularly countries in West Asia and Africa.

The exhibition showcases products and services from different industry sectors, including food and beverage, woodworks and furniture, home and industrial chemical products, building materials, fabrics, printing and publishing, non-metallic raw materials, machinery and manufacturing equipment, cement and rapid concrete. A total of five stands have been allocated for projects of participants of the “Leaders” programme, while another five have been set aside for government departments.

Four stands will feature humanitarian services with another four for projects of businesswomen. Industrial enterprises that are participating in the permanent exhibition of national industrial products at the Chamber’s premises can participate in the ‘Made in Sharjah’ exhibition for free.
