It is a matter of satisfaction that the Doklam issue has been resolved peacefully at least for the present with both India and china withdrawing troops and avoiding conflict. It has also shut the mouths of some astrologers who predicted an Indo-China war in the near future. Indeed, it is a great diplomatic achievement of the Indian Foreign Ministry. However, a section of the Indian media is trying to spoil the situation by highlighting it as a defeat for China. Undoubtedly, India is now in a position to take any challenge from China unlike the most humiliating defeat in 1962. But since any war puts unrepairable damage to both the warring sides, it is better to avoid it, especially when the world is on the edge of a third world-war.
