The real problem at Boeing is its chief executive Jim McNerney, an MBA from Yale. An engineer in charge says: “This the engineering we are going to use; get me the financing.”
An MBA in charge says: “This is the money we are going to spend; get me the engineering to fit it.” That, plus McNerney’s ludicrous belief in having a global village build the plane.
Regardless of the latest attempt to blame the Dreamliner on former CEO of Boeing Commercial Airlines Alan Mulally, this is NcNerney’s baby.
And I believe this jet will never stop having major problems.
