Mega fun

THE MIDDLE EAST’S largest designer toy exhibit is set to open in The Dubai Mall next weekend.

From Thursday, June 28 until Sunday, July 8, the event is being held at four locations in the mall under the banner ‘Project Mega by Foo Dog in association with Middle East Film and Comic Con’.

The launch event will take place in Fashion Avenue, and will include live artists painting plus live performances by DJ Bliss, Mr Shef Codes and Nikotin.

The exhibition will see local artists design 125 ‘Megas’, a blank three-dimensional canvas, with Emirati artists such as Mattar Bin Lahej, Summaya Al Suwaidi, and Khalil Abdul Wahid participating.

From Sunday, July 8 until Sunday, July 15, the event will move to the FN Designs Studio in Al Quoz, where art collectors can purchase the ‘Megas’ during a three-day auction.
