Leaders convey condolence to Saudi King, CP

The President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has sent a cable of condolence to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia, over the stampede which killed and injured a large number of Haj pilgrims on Thursday in Mina, near the holy city of Makkah.
Shaikh Khalifa extended his heartfelt sympathies and condolences over the incident. He prayed to Allah Almighty to bless the souls of the dead with mercy in paradise and bestow solace and forbearance on their families, and bless the injured with speedy recovery.
Shaikh Khalifa also prayed to Allah Almighty to protect the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its security and people from any misfortunes.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, also sent a similar cable to the Saudi king.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, in a telephone call, expressed his heartfelt sympathies and condolences to Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior.
Their Highnesses, Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of Emirates, Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi of Sharjah; Shaikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi of Ajman; Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi of Fujairah; Shaikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla of Umm Al Quwain; and Shaikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi of Ras Al Khaimah, also sent cables of condolences to King Salman.
