Four held for  stealing from  double-parked cars in Fujairah

The Fujairah Police have busted a gang which allegedly stole from vehicles left double-parked with engines running as its owners went for some quick shopping.
According to police sources, many motorists complained about being robbed in this fashion.
A police team was stationed in an area which witnessed this crime. The team spotted a suspect getting inside a double-parked car after its owner went inside a shop.
The police approached the car, but on spotting them, the suspect drove off.
The police chased after him and forced him to pull over, after which he was taken into custody and interrogated.
He led the police to three other suspects, all of whom confessed to stealing from cars.
Colonel Mohammed Ahmed Al Shair, Director of Criminal Investigation Department, Fujairah Police, urged motorists to not leave their cars with engines running. He also appealed to them to not leave valuables inside their cars.
