Khan stars for Abu Dhabi team
ABU DHABI – Asif Khan stroked an unbeaten century to steer Abu Dhabi Airport Services to an eight-wicket win over Hadiya and qualification to the last 16 in the Time Electro Contracting Division-Two tournament at the ADCC ground over the weekend.
They finished on three wins each in Group F with Safwa, who got the better of Bin Ham Travels by five wickets to take top spot on a better run aggregate. Khan hit half-a-dozen sixes and five fours in a top score of 103 not out, and put on 3 for the opening wickets with Mohammed Imran, who chipped in with 32.
Mohsin Imran, the 18-year-old spinner from the MCC-Zayed Cricket Academy, took four for 16 from his five overs, but his side still went down by 83 runs to Abu Dhabi Gentlemen.

Tigers bt West Life by 5 wickets. West Life 118 for 6 in 20 overs vs Tigers 119 for 5 in 9 overs (Ejaz Kiyani 52 not out).
Etihad Airways bt Hyder by 96 runs. Etihad 171 for 7 in 25 overs (Sanket Nayak 45). Hyder 75 all out in 20 overs.
