When the sun goes down and the night is cantering in courtesy, this nasty little virus you cling onto regrets like they were safety straps in a speeding train.

Like someone has started an online self exploration quiz on your mindset in this era of self exile. You have to jot down impulsively and without excessive thinking what you regret not doing or having done when you had the opportunity, and you must be fair and put down what leaps into your mind, even it is trivial and silly billy in comparison to the grand regrets that are just being elusive in recall. So I went for it. Three occasions that ride in. And the first memorable lapse that came to my mind was ducking a dawn safari in Kenya because it was too early in the morning. I cannot believe the evil tricks my mind is playing. In 71 years rich with missed opportunity and redolent with profound sagas getting first place is a safari in Kenya and a touristy one at that.

So onto the second place on the victory stand and that is regretting the chance to dance with Princess Caroline as a KT guest at the Poppy ball in Monte Carlo. I had the hiccups so missed the conga line. She didn't.

Okay, third place and it goes to introducing the world famous satellite lady Candace Johnson on stage with Jeffrey Archer in a show I was doing with great aplomb as the one and only Candace Bergen. Said Sir Jeffery with a wink, she won't mind.

Don't play this game. It is very dangerous and nothing grandiose comes to mind leaving you feeling if Kilroy was here he didn't make much of an impact if this is all he can muster.
