Bollywood actress to preside over Miss India Worldwide

THIRTY-TWO OF India’s most beautiful women will head to Abu Dhabi next month to compete in the five-day Miss India Worldwide pageant.

Former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen will be the guest of honour for the event, which will culminate in a grand final at Emirates Palace on May 14 after a talent show two days previously.

The winner will walk away with Dhs100,000 and a year-long contract to take part in international fashion shows and charity initiatives.

Scandinavian pop-rock group play Dubai

Burning desire

TAKE PART IN a 12-week weight loss course and help raise money for the Manzil Centre for Challenged Individuals in Sharjah.

The ‘Lose to Gain’ fundraiser is open to everyone. Participants are encouraged to lose at least 10 kilos, with sponsors donating per kilo lost, and corporate groups are welcome.

Each participant will be provided with an individual programme, which will incorporate their own calorie-burning strategy, a diet plan and a class schedule including dance, aerobics, boot camp, yoga and martial arts.
