SRI LANKAN POP sensation M.I.A. has been added to the Coachella festival’s lineup, replacing Amy Winehouse, who was forced to cancel her appearance earlier this month because of an assault charge in the U.K.
The Southern Caifornia festival will mark the rapper/singer’s first public appearance since the birth of her son in February, just days after her performance of Paper Planes with Kanye West, Jay-Z, and Lil Wayne at the Grammy Awards.
Other late additions to the Coachella bill include Devendra Banhart, the Orb, Chemical Bros., Murder City Devils and Etienne de Crecy.
