JUST AS one thought peace was made between the two Khans—Shah Rukh and Salman—the air is once again fraught with tension.
One remark that apparently rankled Salman, was a veiled reference to exgirlfriend Aishwarya Rai by Shah Rukh.
However, when Shah Rukh came over to Salman’s home to settle things, Salman decided to forgive and forget.
Thereafter, there were several calls from Salman to Shah Rukh, attempting to arrange a dinner with Katrina and Gauri. But there was silence from SRK, who apparently did not even take Salman’s calls.
And barely a few days later, there was a reported whisper campaign from the Shah Rukh camp about the same remark previously made about Aishwarya.
Salman also got to hear that SRK was laughing about the peace venture between them, saying something like that could never be.
Sources insist that Shah Rukh only settled things for the moment, since wife Gauri had forced him to.
But he felt he was the only Khan to reckon with.
This in turn made Salman see red and it is reported that when he was slightly high, he drove down to SRK’s bungalow and screamed outside the gate, “Bahar aa sale, main tujhko dikhata hoon kaun asli Khan hai!”
Salman apparently told Aamir that the SRK camp had chosen their “famous whisper campaign strategy” to get at him.
Aamir then advised Salman to drop all further attempts to befriend SRK.
As a result of which, the much anticipated film starring Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir, has now been shelved.
Salman’s blog on his reality show site Dus Ka Dum now carries his quotes which read as: “For the next few days you will hear and read a lot of s*** about me, a lot of it. Keep on reading it . . . . but don’t react to it. I don’t. Like sometimes when you are travelling in a fast car and you find a dog chasing your car, barking away.
You don’t stop the car and start reacting to the dog.
There’s no point. Besides, I don’t understand the language of dogs, except for my two—Myson and Myjaan.”
He goes on to add that, “Unfortunately, in our industry, the developing trend is not to celebrate others’ success. Every time another person is successful there will be someone trying to pull him down.
You don’t increase your own efforts to become successful but try to always decrease someone else’s success. That’s the mantra of the industry...”
Salman winds up with: “I chose to remain silent. I do not have the time to spend reacting. But even silence speaks. Silence makes more noise than thunder.
Bandar sher ko chidhata hai... Sirf aawaaz kar sakta hai... Kabhi sher ko maar sakta hai? He can’t do anything.
But when the lion roars, a whole pack of monkeys fall from trees!”
Coincidentally enough, Aamir also seems to be involved in a silent war with SRK, because of the endorsements that the two have. If Aamir has a Titan ad, SRK has Tag Heur.
While SRK has a Hyundai ad, Aamir has a Toyota.
Aamir advertises for Coke while SRK advertises for Pepsi; SRK has Nokia, while Aamir has Samsung.
And the latest rumour is that with Shah Rukh endorsing Dish TV, Tata Sky has approached Aamir.
Like friend Salman, Aamir had earlier spoken about his dog in Panchgani called Shahrukh in his blog! We presume Shah Rukh didn’t take kindly to this remark, and will not take kindly to Salman’s new animal references either! With two powerful Khans now joining hands against him, we wonder what SRK’s next move will be?
Right now, he also has to deal with a new threat at the box-office—with everyone insisting that Akshay Kumar will walk away with the crown once Singh is Kinng is released!
