Informs Shamim, the producer of the commercial , "Emraan plays himself, an Indian actor, and is shown attending the premiere of his film in Pakistan. So we had to recreate a very Pakistani ambience to shoot the commercial at a Mumbai mall."
Informs a source close to the actor, "Ever since Awarapan released in Pakistan, Emraan has been getting offers to do commercials for Pakistani products."
Said Zeeshan Yousaf, the marketing head of the cellphone company, "Awarapan is the only Hindi film released in Pakistan, so Emraan is a rising star here with quite a fan following. That's why we chose him to endorse it." When asked if other Indian actors are also being considered, Zeeshan said, "Yes we have been talking to some stars and will soon be coming back to India to sign one of them."
