DED signs agreement to set up office in DIC

DUBAI — The Dubai Department of Economic Development (DED) signed an agreement with Dubai Industrial City (DIC), a member of Tatweer, to set up an office in DIC's premises on Emirates Road to bring it closer to more than 300 industrial investors in the city allowing them easier and faster access to the services of DED.

The agreement was signed by Rashed Al Ansari, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Industrial City, and Ali Ibrahim, Deputy Director General for Executive Affairs, DED, at a ceremony held in DI premises in the presence of senior officials from both organisations.

Following the signing of the contract at DI, Rashed Al Ansari said: "The presence of the Dubai Department of Economic Development at Dubai Industrial City is yet another step in our efforts to bring essential services closer to our investors and develop the overall offering within our township."

"The DED office will be a one-stop hub supporting our expanded services at Dubai Industrial City. It will serve companies across our township by facilitating their transactions," Rashed added.

Ali Ibrahim said: "Our agreement with Dubai industrial City comes as part of the efforts undertaken by the Department of Economic Development to strengthen industry in the emirate. It is a vital sector that contributes to the economic growth and attracts substantial foreign investment."
