Mallika will also be part of the inaugural session ‘Indian Cinema: Opportunities & Synergies with Global Cinema’.
Mallika Sherawat, who has been a regular at the Cannes International Film festival for the past few years, will inaugurate the CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) Pavilion during a gala later this month.
“Feeling honoured to be invited to inaugurate the CII Pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival 2014,” tweeted the actress.
Mallika will also be part of the inaugural session ‘Indian Cinema: Opportunities & Synergies with Global Cinema’, which will have speakers like Arun Kumar Singh (Indian ambassador to France) and Ashok Amritraj (Hollywood producer and chairman, CII Cannes Initiative), said a statement.
The session will also include the likes of Oscar-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty, Jerome Paillard (executive director, Marche Du Film), Aditi Das Rout (director general, Services Export Promotion Council) and filmmaker Sudhir Mishra.
