As people lead a fast paced, busy life, they need access to necessary services anywhere, anytime. In such a scenario, banks that have traditionally been present through brick and mortar branches, are transforming themselves to meet the evolving needs of their customers.
HDFC Bank, India's most valuable brand, according to a report by Millward Brown and WPP, is sensitive to customer's requirements. Since the launch of the GoDigital campaign in 2014 with the tagline, 'Bank Aap Ki Muththi Mein', which is an umbrella brand of impressive digital capabilities across Internet and mobile banking, HDFC Bank has launched various new initiatives in digital banking.
It introduced a new category by launching WatchBanking for the Apple Watch, which allows customers to access banking services directly from the watch, thereby leveraging the wearable devices category.
It launched the 10 seconds paperless personal loans by fully automating the process of loan approval and disbursement. The 10 seconds loan can be availed 24/7 through HDFC Bank's netbanking portal, where customers can perform over 200 different types of transactions.
Even though personal loan is available in 10 seconds through netbanking, there are times when customers urgently need cash during emergencies. To solve the problem, HDFC Bank has announced plans to disburse personal loans at its ATM kiosks.
To offer greater convenience to customers on the go, HDFC Bank has launched PayZapp, a payment solution that will revolutionise the way payments and purchases are done using smartphones.
Customers can use it to pay for mobile phone top-ups, groceries, movie tickets, utility bills, instant money transfer, and even high value purchases such as holidays abroad. Mobile banking channels allow customers to perform 85 different types of transactions.
With deep understanding of customer's requirements, new digital banking initiatives tailored to meet those requirements and solid financial performance, the bank is a premier full-service digital bank.
