Malayalam actor Prithviraj has completed the shooting of his high profile movie with superstar Mohanlal and is set to feature in some interesting movies in 2019. One among them is Kaaliyan, directed by S Mahesh.
Prithviraj is excited about the prospects of the film and he wrote on his Twitter last year, "It is a mission of a warrior who is made famous by ballads of Venad. "History forgot him.. the ballads sing of him. He took on the mightiest with the power of one. the power of self. For honour, teacher and country.. #KAALIYAN!."
BT Anil Kumar is the script writer while the music composer trio, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy have been roped in to compose the tunes.
Kaaliyan has once again been in the limelight following the release of the short film 'Thonda', which narrates the story of a singer who loses his voice suddenly.
The singer is a die-hard fan of Pritviraj and the short film features what impact the trailer of Kaaliyan had in his life.
The thriller is written and directed by Dixon Alice Poulose while the camera is by Jobin Ignatious. Prakash Alex, who did the background score for Malayalam movie 'Mohanlal', has done the BGM for this 17-minute short film. The sound mix and design are done by Anish P Tom and Sharon J Manohar while the DI-VFX work is by Miraj Mohamed.
