DUBAI - Those seeking a driving licence in Dubai will have to take the ‘Theory Test’ from early next year, according to Ali Jasim, Director of the Driving Licensing Department at the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).

The applicants would be provided with a Driver’s Handbook, containing road safety information and rules related to all licence categories, he added. Currently, anyone seeking a driving licence must undergo three tests —the Signal Test, Parking Test and the Road Test.
