Technology fair held to educate students

DUBAI — A technology fair called DI@TECH was organised at the Dubai International Academy (DIA), a school located at Emirates Hills for the second successive year on Tuesday to create awareness among students and parents on the importance of technology in a global knowledge economy.

DI@TECH 2007 fair showcased the creative skills of students in diverse fields ranging from information to internet-based technology. The one-day event provided parents and community members the opportunity to understand how technology can change the lives of their children, as well as societies.

Issam Galadari, Managing Director of Emaar International, MENA, who was the chief guest described the event as an amazing experience.

Addressing the students, he said: “Technology has now come to play a crucial role in every aspect of life. I am pleased to see the students of DIA taking the lead.”
