South Korean visitors to Dubai increase by 50 pc

DUBAI —The number of South Korean visitors to Dubai has increased by 50 per cent this year, according to Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department (DNRD) figures.

More than 32,000 South Koreans arrived at Dubai International Airport in the first half of 2008, DNRD statistics show.

This is a 50 per cent increase on the same time last year. 42,000 South Korean visitors were recorded for all of 2007.

The figures were released during a meeting held yesterday between South Korean Consul General Park Kyu-ock and Major-General Mohammad Ahmad Al Marri, Director of DNRD.
