Plan to uplift Rahmaniya infrastructure

SHARJAH — Under the directives of His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, a comprehensive infrastructure project is expected to be executed at Al Rahmaniya area.

According to Dr Obaid Al Tunaiji, Director-General of the Sharjah Town Planning and Survey Department and member of the Sharjah Executive Council, the directives of Dr Shaikh Sultan come in line with a comprehensive plan to keep pace with the economic growth of Sharjah emirate.

The project would include levelling of lands in Al Rahmaniya area so that the UAE nationals would be able to construct residential units in the area. The department has planned Al Rahmaniya area in response to the increasing demand over lands in Sharjah, Dr Obaid pointed out, explaining that the department has also planned for the construction of villas, residential units, and a developed road network in the area.

According to the new plan, the area would include eight residential suburbs with more than 4,133 residential units expected to be constructed. Government building would also be constructed on more than 32 lands in the area.
