AL AIN - Shaikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Eastern Region, and Shaikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region, attended the funeral prayer of Salem bin Ham Al A’meri, who died on Friday morning at the age of 86, at Al Mutaredh Mosque.
The funeral prayer was also performed by Shaikh Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan; Shaikh Surur bin Mohammed Al Nahyan; Lt-General Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Shaikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court; Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Shaikh Hazza bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Undersecretary of the Court of Ruler’s Representative in the Eastern Region; sons of the deceased and a number of mourners.
Salem bin Ham was a close confidant of late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan who entrusted him with tasks related to the national duties which he performed successfully because of his strong relationship with shaikhs, heads of tribes in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain and others across the country before and after the UAE federation came into existence. He had served as a member of the National Consultative Council of the emirate of Abu Dhabi for several years.
